My husbands brother is a drug addict and so his is girlfriend. They have been like this since before ive known my husband so nearly ten years. The girlfriend got pregnant in 05….she said that she was going to be on methadone, to detox herself.. the baby was born on methadone put in nicu for 2 weeks. Hes now 3… and doesn’t talk much, if he does say something he sounds like he has speech problem.. Now the mom got back on drugs after she had a baby..(heroin, crack, you name it) and now shes pregnant again and on “methadone” but what i don’t understand is how do hospital or clinic let this happen.. I thought methadone was to help dextoc yourself and help you not want heroin.. Ive heard through other family members that she still does heroin while on the methadone.. i just don’t get it how can u be on methadone for years and have babies in the NICU then just go back to it after wards..

My fiance relapsed after 6 yrs of being clean. He’s a heroin addict. It’s been going on for a few months, lying, shooting up, not telling anyone, still going to meetings. I’m the only one that knows.

He agrees that he needs help. Now what? He wants to do a methadone detox on his own but that didn’t work the last time. He needs to be secluded. He can’t go & get methadone & come back home. It doesn’t work.

We don’t have the money to put him in rehab. It’s $30,000 per month & his insurance doesn’t cover it. Are there any other options?

I have been at a Methadone Clinic for 3 years now and I’m fed up with it. My dose is 135, I was at 180 and came down 5 mg a week, But I’ve been laid off of work and I’m having trouble paying, so they put me on a 21 day detox and I know that ain’t enough time. So Im thinking of just cold turkeying it and just be sick for a couple of weeks. I need someone that’s been in this position before. What do I do?? I need help I’m just addicted to this just as I was to Pills.

Help, I dont know what to do, and I cant miss work over this, but I need to get off of it bad, it’s killing me, along with all my dreams. Can I order methadone online with out a doctor, or vicodin to help ease the pain?
