why is it legal for doctors to prescribe speed to children (most ADD and ADHD drugs) methamphetamine to cancer and other chronic pain victims (Methadone) opium-heroin (morphine) to pain victims, but not legal to prescribe marijuana which thus far has proven non addictive and more affective in pain control with out the side affects commonly seen in other medications prescribed by doctors?
i see some of got my sarcasm…the point people is that when there are other safe alternatives why do the government and the drug companies trying so hard to keep it out of the mainstream. money. my mother is taking ten pills three times a day four of those pills is to counteract the side affect of one of the other drugs she was prescribed for colitis. medicinal marijuana can not only alleviate her colitis symptoms that are uncomfortable but alleviate four of her current drugs that she is taking of course that means the drug company would be out hundreds of dollars because she wouldn’t need those four drugs anymore. are you even seeing the broader picture or are you stuck in the 50’s propaganda?

They just found out two diabetes medications greatly increases heart failure risks, even in low dosages. We all remember Vioxx….
WTF! Why is everyone coming down on marijuana when these drugs have proven much more dangerous, yet their legal. And with regard to the new story about psychosis among pot smokers, if you read the entire article, they eventually admit they cannot prove that pot use alone was the cause.
“The researchers said they couldn’t prove that marijuana use itself increases the risk of psychosis..There could be something else about marijuana users, like their tendency to use other drugs or certain personality traits, that could be causing the psychoses,” Zammit said.

feel like my life is so boring when im not on any type of drug at all its horrible i smoke pot during the week everyday actually and then the major durgs come in on the weekend im only 17 and this is want i think about /look forward to ever weekend when im sobar all i think about is getting drugs
last weekend was the worst binge i have had yet i did methadone,pot,opium,shrooms,coke and vicodin all within the hour and was up on all the **** for 3 days and havnt felt completley normal since i dont know if i should be concerned about the way i have been feeling but even the next weekend knowing i still didnt feel all there i did some extacy weed and coke and i added to the feeling of being totally out of it what should i do i cant stop thinkin about getting ****** up all the time i even planned on doing it this weekend even tho i know i shouldnt i cant convince myself not to
please help me i dont want to go to rehab or anuthing i just wanna be able to have fun but be able to stop when i want and not have it control my whole life what should i do is my life being setup for failure?
am i addicted?

How is a methadone clinic legally operated. I know several young adults that go to a methadone clinic, and none of them ever get any better. Nobody else at the clinic ever gets better either. They pay nearly 500 dollars a month to get high legally. They have no set plan to ween you off. They allow you to stay there as long as you want. If you fail multiple drug tests they continue to let you come. This is absolutely insane that this is allowed by the government. I guarantee you the success rate of a methadone clinic is less than 2%. Sure people are not doing heroin anymore, but they are doing methadone which basically does the same thing. The people I know stay high on their dosage, and come home and try to find more and more. Everyone I know that goes to that place is getting no better. Nobody that they know that goes to that place is getting any better. If you type methadone in yahoo answers, you find a bunch of addicts trying to figure out how to get more, how to sneak it out, if I take this with my methadone will I be ok, how often do they have drug tests at the clinic because I want to get high on something else too. It’s crazy that no one has made this an issue. I don’t think most of the general population realize this is going on. People try to argue that this is junkies trying to get better, when actually it’s junkies trying to get high without having to worry about a jail sentence.

i have a friend who tried to talk to her mom about her dad (who needs serious help) in her mom said there is nothing she can do. her mom and dad are no longer together so the little girl turned to me for help

Rehab is really the best way to go, but he won’t change unless he wants to.

It depends on what she is addicted to, you can call around to some hospitals that have rehab. I recommend going to a hospital & going through there rehab because you are only there a few day & you’ll be clean. 🙂
